Kim Gordon released her new album The Collective earlier this month, and she’s in the midst of the first leg of her tour supporting it, which stopped in NYC on Saturday (3/23) for a show at Knockdown Center. The two-stage affair included sets on the main stage and the smaller “Noise Room,” curated by Kim’s Body/Head bandmate Bill Nace, who did a duo set there with Circuit des Yeux.

L’Rain kicked things off on the main stage, playing songs from her great 2023 album I Killed Your Dog, and Kelsey Lu followed with a “really cute” backing band she said she’d put together for the show, featuring Marshall Columbia on harp, Taul Katz on bass, MIZU on cello, and Bapari on beats. Between those sets Matt Krefting and Full Size played the Noise Room.

Kim’s set included every song off The Collective (including opening track “BYE BYE” twice, both beginning and ending the set), along with a few tracks off her 2019 debut solo album No Home Record and her 2021 abortion access benefit single “Grass Jeans.” See her setlist below.
