SUMAC (DATES WITH PORTRAYAL OF GUILT / TRIGGER OBJECT)
SUMAC, the post-metal trio of Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom, etc), Brian Cook (Russian Circles, Botch, These Arms Are Snakes), and Nick Yacyshyn (Baptists, ex-The Armed), release their new album The Healer next Friday (6/21), and they’ll start their summer tour the same day. They’ve just announced more dates across the Southwest in August which are with Portrayal of Guilt and Trigger Object, including Salt Lake City, Denver, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Austin, Oklahoma City, and more.
MIKE CAMPBELL & THE DIRTY KNOBS
Former Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers member Mike Campbell is touring with his solo band The Dirty Knobs in support of his album Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits starting June 21 in Skokie, IL. Dates include Kansas City, Milwaukee, Des Moines, Sioux City, Cincinnati, Toronto, and more.
EAGLES AT THE SPHERE
If you were wondering who the next musical act would be to play Las Vegas’ eye-popping technical marvel, Sphere, take it easy. It’s the Eagles. They’ll play eight shows across four weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) from September 20 – October 19. Will they take Sphere to the limit? If you go, let us know.
MIDGE URE
Former Ultravox and Visage member Midge Ure has added more dates to his North American tour that kicks off August 7 at Daryl’s House in Pawling, NY and now wraps up September 13 in Ft Lauderdale. The NYC show happens August 11 at City Winery. Midge describes his “Band in a Box” tour like this: “Lots of people asking me to clarify what ‘Band in a Box’ actually is. It consists of myself on electric guitar, synthesiser and vocals alongside my long time keyboard player Charlie Round-Turner playing live with various loops, samples and programmed drums. A band in a box! This format allows me to perform a full band performance with a ’stripped down’ duo. I will be playing a range of material from my long and varied career. From early Ultravox and Visage to recent solo material. Who knew two people could make so much noise?”
THE LINDA LINDAS
The Linda Lindas’ summer tour starts in July and includes opening for The Rolling Stones in Los Angeles, and they’ll be part of the Green Day / Smashing Pumpkins / Rancid tour, including the NYC show at Citi Field on August 5. They also announced some headline shows on their days off.
MIKE YOUNG WORLD FEST
MIKE has revealed the full lineup for the fourth edition of his mini hometown NYC fest Young World, which happens in July and includes Earl Sweatshirt, Pete Rock, Skaiwater, Stacy Epps, and more.
THE CACTUS BLOSSOMS / ERIN RAE
Minnesota sibling duo The Cactus Blossoms will be on tour in support of new album Every Time I Think About You starting July 5 in Stoughton, WI. Dates include two shows in NYC: Mercury Lounge on September 28 and TV Eye on September 29. Both of those shows, and all their East Coast dates, are with Erin Rae.

Poliça sold out their 8/22 show at Brooklyn’s Sultan Room so they’ve added a second show on 8/23.
THURSDAY
Thursday have some intimate shows lined up between their appearances at Hawthorne Heights’ Is For Lovers fests and 20 Years of Tears tour, and they’ll keep it going in the fall, too, including their second annual NYC boat show.
ANNABEL
Annabel just released their first album in nine years, Worldviews, today on Tiny Engines, and now they’ve announced a tour that finds them joined by Del Paxton, Camp Trash, Farseek, and Perennial on select dates.
DROMFEST ’24
Last year, Dromedary Records hosted a 30th birthday party festival in Hudson, NY that featured a lot of ’90s indie rock bands. They’ve decided to do it again this year over Labor Day Weekend in Catskill, NY. Cell and Poem Rocket are playing their first shows in a very long time and the lineup also includes Scrawl, Tuscadero, King Missile, and more.
GLEN FALLS HOUSE LINEUP
Glen Falls House in the Catskills (Round Top, NY) is a music venue in addition to a hotel and restaurant, and promoters Sister Midnight are throwing a few shows there this summer, with Nation of Language, IAN SWEET, Palehound, Tomberlin, Small Black, and more.
THIS DAY FORWARD 2024
Pennsylvania post-hardcore veterans This Day Forward recently announced that they’ll be reuniting for their first shows in over 20 years this summer, and now they added more back-in-action vets to the shows.
THE DESLONDES
New Orleans band The Deslondes have announced a new album, Roll It Out, and they’ll be touring for it too.
THE KILLERS
After playing an intimate Bowery Ballroom show on Friday and headlining Saturday at Governors Ball, The Killers announced another NYC show at Forest Hills Stadium on September 14 earlier this week. They’ve now added a 2nd date the next night at the same venue.
